This summer we are back with our third outdoor festival!
Nina Kraviz is one of the most significant artists in the global electronic scene. The Siberian born singer, producer, songwriter and DJ is well known as a passionate record digger and for her outstanding taste in idiosyncratic electronic music, which lead her to create her label трип (pronounced trip). We can’t wait for her Rotterdam Rave debut this summer.
Rotterdam-based techno producer and owner of Electric Deluxe label, Speedy J is a mastermind behind Electric Deluxe Presents nights and the pioneering DVD Umfeld, an audio-visual, electronic trip. The techno legend is known for his genre blurring, boundary pushing music vision and considered a key figure in the genre’s renaissance. His hypnotically percussive technological sounds offer unique complex textures to the listener.
Amsterdam based duo ANOTR has been heavily performing on the stages of Ibiza, Amsterdam Dance Event and earned appearances at Hideout, Tomorrowland, Defected and many other established festivities. Jesse van der Heijden and Oguzhan Guney together compose a fresh and consistent pair delivering “energetic, hard hitting, straight to the point tech-house” with releases on DFTD and Snatch Records.
No boundaries for genres or styles, but characterized by a distinctive taste. Ben Buitendijk takes the listener on a journey, a balance between music for the dance floor and music for the mind. His sets and his productions are usually defined by the deeper side of the spectrum of techno.
After he started working at one of Rotterdam's most influential record stores and distribution companies Triple Vision, his career got a kick start. When his first release was picked up and signed by Loco Dice on the Timewarp compilation and his release with Taras van de Voorde became the Essential tune by Pete Tong BBC One Radio Show, he proved to be a steady and rising artist in the scene. He’s a well known artist in Rotterdam nightlife with gig’s in famous clubs and venues.
Renowned for his 30 years of experience in the field, Michel de Hey is a worldwide respected DJ, producer and the owner of his own HEY! Imprint. His weekly radio show inspires young DJs till this day, and his own club nights shake the floors all over the Netherlands.
This Rotterdam-based talent with Portuguese blood is a heavyweight in the house music scene. His characteristic groovy and funky sound with some detroit, minimal and acid influences has earned him a solid presence at the Dutch festival and club circuit On the day of the festival, our resident and fellow Rotterdammer will team up with none other than Michel de Hey!
Tom Russell aka Truss aka MPIA3 - is a prolific British producer, remixer, collaborator and DJ. While resolutely pushing towards new and futuristic structures, his sound takes influence from the UK’s hardcore and rave scenes. A DJ set from MPIA3 encompasses all the sounds, genres and approaches that have informed him; spitting out techno, industrial, EBM, italo, acid house, as well as the fruits of his numerous projects into a snarling mess of limbs, bodies and noise.
Fairly new to the scene, but already way ahead of his game, Remco Beekwilder is taking the world by storm. The Dutch DJ/producer has been releasing EP’s steadily on imprints such Monnom Black, Self Reflektion, and Binary Cells over these past three years, while also playing gigs all around Europe. With his energetic and deep sound, clearly rooted in techno, Beekwilder has already marked his own place in the scene.
This Rotterdam local has been on the rise for quite some time now and has established himself as one of the harbour city's most promising tech-house artists at the moment. Known for his groovy sound, he will surely break down the stage like he breaks down Rotterdam's nightclubs week in and week out.
Tipped as being one of Rotterdam’s best kept secrets in techno, DJ/producer ‘stranger’ moves in mysterious ways and has quickly proven to be one to watch. His first musical appearance in 2014 was quickly picked up by established names as Dave Clarke, Sven Väth and Marcel Dettmann, giving to his career as well as to his own Self Reflektion label a major kick-start.
